Call for Disability Ambassadors 2026

Local Enterprise Office Dublin City

The Local Enterprise Office Dublin City (LEO) is seeking two business owners who are persons with disabilities* to become our Disability Ambassadors for 2026 – 2028. As Disability Ambassador, you will help show that disability is not a barrier to starting, growing and successfully running a business.

This ambassadorship is a voluntary and unpaid position with a term of two years.

*  Disabilities may be visible, invisible or hidden.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

• Be a client company of the LEO Dublin City (Based in Dublin 1-13, 17, and 20).
• Run a commercial business in the LEO Dublin City geographical area of Dublin 1-13, 17, and 20.
• Be comfortable discussing their disability (visible, invisible or hidden) openly.
• Be willing to share their experience of starting and running a business while managing their disability.
• Be supportive of and willing to promote the LEO services and supports.
• Be willing, where possible, to attend online & in-person events to represent the LEO Dublin City. Attendance at events will always be subject to availability and personal circumstances. Where an ambassador is representing the LEO Dublin City at an in-person event, taxi transport can be arranged to and from the venue.*

*  All out of pocket expenses will be covered by the LEO Dublin City.

Benefits of Becoming a Disability Ambassador

The successful Disability Ambassadors will be able to avail of the following, free of any cost:

• Be featured in a video case study for the LEO Dublin City on the LEO website and social media platforms.
• Attend events as a representative of the LEO Dublin City (when possible). These include the National Local Enterprise Awards (Black Tie event), Local Enterprise Week Events, and presenting LEO sponsored awards.
• Access to all the LEO Dublin City training workshops and programmes free of charge during your term as an ambassador.
• Receive Mentoring support relevant to your role.
• Play a role in creating a more inclusive and supportive entrepreneurial environment for people with disabilities.
